Mary Garraffa (Miss Mary)

OCSF and CPR Certified Preschool Teacher

Mary Garraffa resides in Mt. Tremper with her husband of 26 years and three beautiful daughters.

Prior to perusing her goal of one day operating a pre-school, Mary had the opportunity to have a day care in her home. Due to the close proximity of her daycare to the schools in the Onteora District, she had the pleasure of caring for many of the Onteora school's teacher's children.

Upon her daughters reaching school age, Mary took a leap of faith and became the proprietor of Windy Ridge PreSchool.

Adapting the district's curriculum to a Pre- K level along with the embedded nurturing aspect from the ten years of daycare, Mary brought to the new and improved Windy Ridge a unique and special combination of strong academics with a warm, loving and secure environment. Mary, also being fluent in Spanish, uniquely offers a bi-lingual setting.

Continuously engaging in up to date teaching seminars and CPR certified, Mary and her well-trained staff meet the preschooler's needs on every developmental level.

Jessica Osterhoudt (Miss Jess)

OCFS Certified Assistant Preschool Teacher

Jessica Osterhoudt has over three years of experience in child care. Previously a camp counseler and child care provider at Mac Fitness, Jessica is now the assistant teacher at Windy Ridge Preschool. Her talents lie in creative art projects, stimulating physical acitivities and creating a nurturing environment for our children. Jessica is self motivated and spontaneous, often coming up with ingenious and creative games and projects on an unforseen rainy day. She is OCFS certified and is persuring a career in early childhood education.

Miss Jess is very loved by the Windy Ridge children and is a valuable asset to our program.
